Now we have to make the girl glow a little orange to match the particle lights. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation. Move this layer above the girl then go to Layer > Create Clipping Mask.
In the Adjustments panel, use these settings. Check the “Colorize” option before you apply the other settings.
Here’s how the girl looks like. She just looks orange now but we’ll fix this in the next step.

Right-click on the Hue/Saturation adjustment layer then click Blending Options. In the “Underlying Layer” settings, hold down your Alt key then drag the right-half of the black slider towards the right. It will split in half. Drag it so that you get the settings like shown in the image below.

Next, we’re going to reduce the contrast of the image. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast. Place this layer as the top layer.
Set the contrast to –50.
Here’s it with the contrast reduced.

Duplicate the top Brightness/Contrast layer to reduce the contrast even more.

Next, go to File > Place. Pick the image of the paper texture then click OK. Scale it so that it fits the entire Photoshop document.
Step 25
First, make sure that the texture layer is on the top. Set the blending mode to Overlay.

Go to Image > Auto Tone.

Then go to Image > Adjustments > Desaturate. Reduce the opacity of the texture layer to anything you like and you’re done!
